The Affiliation of Registered CSC’S presents “Danny McGrain Tribute Evening”. The event takes place in the Kerrydale Suite at Celtic Park on Saturday 13^th October 2007.

The event will be a dinner dance, cabaret & disco featuring Scotland’s top group “Press to Play” top class comedian “Bert Allan” and No1 D.J. “Phil Agnew”

A.I.C.S.C. 9TH ANNUAL CHARITY DINNER

In association with “The Irish Daily Star” and “Topflight Soccer”

It’s a case of “all the sevens” this year as the Association of Irish Celtic Supporters’ Clubs celebrates its 9th anniversary on 07.07.07 at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin with what certainly promises to be a special night with Celtic players from past and present together with the S.P.L trophy retained by the Hoops this season joining over 1,000 Irish Celtic supporters for an evening of celebration.

Now an established and not-to-be-missed fixture on the social calendar of Celtic fans in Ireland and beyond, previous years’ events have been memorable and colourful occasions with a superb atmosphere. They provide the passionate Irish support with a chance to welcome its beloved club back to the land where the glorious Celtic story began and to thank the players for their efforts this season.

In keeping with the charitable spirit in which Celtic was founded 120 years ago, proceeds from the event will be donated to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Ireland and to the parish appeal of Saint Mary’s Church of the Calton in Glasgow. Celtic was founded in the Saint Mary’s parish by the Irish Marist Brother Walfrid to raise funds for the Poor Children’s table established by Walfrid with the St Vincent de Paul Society to feed the Irish immigrants in the East End of Glasgow.

This year, of course, also marks the 40th anniversary of Celtic’s greatest night, when the Lisbon Lions won the European Cup. The Cup itself together with representatives of that famous side will also be in attendance to take a bow before the Irish support.

A.I.C.S.C. chairman, Tom Maher commented, “We are very much looking forward to another great night in the Citywest. To retain the title this year and compete so magnificently in the Champions League Gordon and the bhoys did marvellously well and it should be a great party. As is the Celtic tradition, we are also delighted to be able to assist two very worthy charitable causes associated with the beginnings of Celtic Football Club.”

Tickets for the event cost €67 for A.I.C.S.C. members or €77 for non-members and can be purchased by forwarding cheque/draft/postal order made payable to the A.I.C.S.C. to Charity Dinner, PO Box 32, Belfast BT1 1AA.

FUND RAISING EVENT

The family of young Brendan Greenway from Inverclyde would like to pass on their thanks to various folks throughout Scotland who have helped them out in donating gifts for an auction and raffle draws that has helped raise enough funds for their son who has suffered illness since his birth over 18 years ago.

In particular Gerry & Roz Greenway pass on their thanks to Celtic FC players and ticket office staff John Paul Taylor and Hilary Thomas, staff and players from Greenock Morton FC, staff and employees from Amazon factory in Gourock.

Sunday 8th January 2006 – CLYDE MATCH Local Celtic fans will be holding a bucket/can collection day in aid of St Andrews Hospice Airdrie before the Clyde game at Broadwood stadium. Can I call on the Celtic faithful to contribute to this as we always do. St Andrews Hospice is Lanarkshire's only Hospice and is open to all, without distinction of race, gender or creed. All services are provided free of charge to the patient. The annual running costs are approximately £3.5million of which nearly £2million has to be raised each year from public donations. the World, Charlie & the Bhoys to Philadelphia for this 
Global reunion of Celtic Supporters. The party will begin at 
8:00, with the music starting around 9:00 pm. Celtic 
Supporters Clubs are invited to bring their banners and will 
be allowed to hang them around the pub. There will be a 
$5.00 cover charge at the door.

The event is a photographic exhibition of Football in Palestine (the occupied territories of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip) which is being brought to the UK in the near future by a delegation from Palestine itself. We are currently preparing/organising a tribute to Sean Fallon, one of the all time Celtic greats who gave 30 years of service to Celtic as a player and official during one of the finest periods in the clubs history. We have set up the "Friends of Sean Fallon" committee to manage and oversee the tribute which will take place in his hometown of Sligo in Ireland (where he is already a Freeman of the Borough). On Saturday 26th May 2001 the North American Federation of Celtic Supporters Clubs will gather in their respective clubs in the U.S. and Canada to watch the Scottish F.A. Cup Final. They will also be collecting for the Cancer Unit at The Hospital for Sick Children at The Royal Victoria Hospital, Falls Road, Belfast. On the morning of April 7th when Celtic clinched the Premier League title this season, with a 1-0 victory over St. Mirren, a young Celtic supporter passed away in the arms of his parents, at the Hospital for Sick Children. Anthony Martin from Pennyburn in Derry had been suffering from Luekemia. Last year when Celtic played Derry City to raise money for the League of Ireland club, young Anthony led the Celtic team onto the field at the Brandywell. Before he died Anthony received phone calls from Tottenham's Sol Campbell, and Nancy Cartwright the voice of Bart Simpson. The fundraiser will take place in quite a few of the clubs within the N.A.F.C.S.C. so far 30 out of 66 have said they will be donating, in places as diverse as, Denver, San Francisco, Toronto, Philadelphia, Montreal, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Dallas.

The N.A.F.C.S.C. committee, based in Canada, have kicked off the fundraiser with a donation of $1000. In New York ex N.B.A. player Bill Wennington will attend the fundraiser of the Manhattan No.1 C.S.C. Bill who played with the Chicago Bulls in 3 championship winning teams alongside Michael Jordan, had no hesitation in volunteering his services, and is flying in from Chicago for the event. Former Celt Bobby Lennox has sent signed pictures as has Nancy Cartwright, who has donated signed pictures of Bart Simpson. Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links have donated 3nights bed and breakfast 2 rounds of golf for two people. In a season that has given us so much as Celtic Fans we would appeal to all Celtic Supporters Clubs in the U.K. and Ireland to pass the hat around in your local club at half time to raise money for this hospital.

This branch has seats available for supporters who may wish to travel to the testimonial match against Norwich City on Monday 22nd January 2001.

The coach leaves Port Glasgow on Sunday morning 21st January 2001, an overnight stay has been arranged on a bed & breakfast basis in Great Yarmouth.

The coach will transfer to Norwich on the Monday for the game and depart immediately after the game.

Coach should arrive back in Port Glasgow on Tuesday 23rd January 2001 at around noon.
