HOSPITALITY DAY

The Affiliation was represented by two members from
the Teeside & Darlington Hoops CSC for the recent home
game against Kilmarnock. The representatives from the
club sent us this message, we would like to thank
everyone involved in the memorable day out we had at
Celtic Park, it will live in our memories for a long
time to come.
Our next Hospitality Day will be the New Years Day
match against Livingston, our representatives that day
will come from The Bhoys of Baku Azerbaijan CSC

BOBBY MURDOCH TRIBUTE NIGHT

The Affiliation in conjunction with Paramount Stage
Promotions are organising a tribute night for former
Lisbon Lion & Celtic Legend Bobby Murdoch. The evening
is being held on Thursday February 10th 2005 at the
Fauldhouse M.W. The night will be in the form of a
Gala Dinner Caberet and features Scotland’s own Lena
Martell, Top Comic & Compere Bert Allan, Miss Dynamite
Lauren Kyle, The Big Voice of Kirk James and the Top 5
Piece Showband L.A.-X. Tickets are limited with only
around 10 tables remaining and the tickets are priced

Are having a green nite on 26th November 2004 at
Auchenlarie, Tickets are £9 and they have Slievenamon
playing along with a newcomer to the Celtic / Irish
scene" Denny Monaghan". Also on the night the club are
having an auction with all the funds going to the
"Jimmy Johnstone tribute fund" they have a shirt
signed by the top table at his tribute night. It’s a
very rare shirt and it is open to bids from anywhere
in world but has a reserve price on it. Tickets are on

the fast rising Glasgow Celtic/Irish folk band

The band is also available for supporters clubs who

BROTHER WALFRID MEMORIAL NEWS

We are currently involved in producing a limited
edition full colour 64 page brochure for the Brother
Walfrid Memorial Fund. The brochure will be in all
leading Celtic stores and other major outlets on the
lead up to Christmas. We are looking for supporters
clubs who may wish to advertise their club / bus in
the brochure, the cut of date for advertising in the
brochure is this FRIDAY 19th NOVEMBER 2004 so please
get in touch by e-mail mdinning@yahoo.com if you wish
more details.

Dumfries & Galloway for the sending the pictures of
Brother Walfrid’s final resting place at St Joseph’s
College Dumfries.

AFFILIATION MERCHANDISE

We now have some sample merchandise including badges
and clothing bearing the Affiliation logo as mentioned
in last week’s column. Our thanks go to Akuma
Promotions and Tony Hickey for supplying the sample
merchandise. An online catalogue featuring various
items with the Affiliation logo will be on line soon,
supporters clubs can also have the merchandise
manufactured to include their own club logos.

INVITATION TO ALL SUPPORTERS CLUBS

SUPPORTERS CLUBS FOOTBALL CHALLENGE
Taking place on Monday 22nd November 2004 at VIDA
Sports, Pitreavie Playing Fields, Dunfermline. 

I am organising this event and over the next few weeks
I am recruiting teams to participate in the
tournament.  I am contacting all the various
supporters clubs throughout Central and Eastern
Scotland to inform them of the SUPPORTERS CLUBS
FOOTBALL CHALLENGE. 

The event will kick off at 6:30 on Monday 22nd
November and the format will be dependant on the
amount of teams who attend on the day.  We will ensure
each team plays as many games as possible.  The cost
to enter is £35 and after the event you will be
invited to the bar/lounge area and a squad pizza will
be handed out to each team.  The winners of the event
will receive a TROPHY, a CASE of LAGER and SIGNED BALL
FROM THE TEAM YOU REPRESENT.  All matches will be
refereed and the duration of games will be dependant
on the format in place - usually the games are 15 mins
long.
The target age group for this event is 16+, as we
expect most entered teams to be adults.  A maximum of
8 players can be registered on the day.  So, if you
have a team within your club or know of someone who
would
be interested in entering a team then get in touch
with me either by reply or by phoning me on 01383
730730.  I will then arrange for an application to be
issued, for your information to secure your entry,
payment is welcomed prior to the event.

BROTHER WALFRID MEMORIAL NEWS

Our congratulations go to everyone involved in the
Sligo area who were involved in last week’s ceremony.
THE chairman of Glasgow Celtic soccer club, Brian
Quinn, and former Celtic star, Sligo-born Sean Fallon
unveiled the memorial to Brother Walfrid in Ballymote
on Sunday.
The unveiling was the culmination of an eight months
campaign, launched in the Sligo Weekender in February,
to honour the founder of the famous club in his
birthplace.
A large crowd attended the unveiling which was part of
a weekend of festivities in Ballymote, finishing with
a celebration dinner in the Southern Hotel, Sligo, on
Sunday night.
