We must also not forget the fabulous Celtic supporters worldwide for a very merry Christmas and a Champions 2007 New Year. CLEATOR MOOR EMERALDS CSC The Cleator Moor Emeralds CSC would like to thank ex Lisbon Lions Captain and Celtic Manager Billy McNeill for attending the gentleman’s evening at the Celtic club on the moor on Friday 8th December 2006. The evening was a fantastic success as “Caesar” spoke for well over an hour on the night and it was captivating to listen to him reminding everyone about the good old days with Celtic Football Club. A fabulous night was enjoyed by all; thanks go to the Carlisle Shamrock and the Gretna bhoys for travelling down for the evening. Our special thanks also go to Martin Mahone and Howard Nicholson the compare for the evening that had everyone laughing throughout the event. Billy was presented with a portrait of the magnificent sevens as a memento of the occasion. The DVD is a feature length documentary charting the bond between Celtic Football Club and the Irish diaspora in western Scotland. It tells the story of the great famine when 100,000 displaced people had to leave their homes in Ireland in search of work and a new life in Lanarkshire. Jimmy Johnstone Tribute Fund In aid of the Scottish Motor Neurone Disease Association The painting attached is a life-size depiction of Jinky, measuring 6 x 4 ft, which will be on permanent display in the 7s Restaurant at Celtic Park. The artist has released a series of limited edition prints. Each one comes with a certificate of authenticity, signed and numbered by the artist. A special offer is being made to all Affiliation members. SUPPORTERS CLUBS FUNCTIONS / EVENTS As some of you may be aware The Hawick Shamrock CSC, family & friends of the late Jim “Crawley” Williamson who sadly lost his brave battle with cancer are in the process of organizing a charity trek from Hawick to Celtic Park. The event will take place on 22nd/23rd December 2006 all money raised from this event will be donated to Cancer Research UK.
