THANKS TO CELTIC FC

The Affiliation passes on our thanks to Celtic’s Chief Executive Peter Lawwell, for the meeting held with us last Friday morning at Celtic Park.

GOOD LUCK TONIGHT CELTIC

Celtic travel through to Dens Park tonight to play Dundee in the CIS Cup. Our best wishes go to all Celtic supporters travelling to the cheer on the bhoys to reach the next round.

AWAY TICKETS REMINDER FROM CELTIC FC

CELTIC FC has reminded all supporters that they carry the responsibility for all match tickets uplifted from the club in their name. It is very important that supporters are aware of this fact and Celtic have urged fans not to pass on tickets to unknown supporters. Everyone who takes tickets for home or away matches has their details recorded against their personal file. In the event of any complaint being made to the club about the behaviour of another supporter, the individual who was allocated the tickets will be held accountable.

SUPPORTERS CLUBS YOUR CHANCE TO HELP

Hoops ‘n Halos

Hoops ‘n Halos is a Celtic Charity Fund Christmas Giving Campaign.  Our Club was formed to raise money for the poor in the city’s East End and, since then, we have continued to embody Brother Walfrid’s founding principles.

This is your chance to change lives at Christmas and make an impact in the name of the Celtic Family.  Collect money in one of our Hoops ‘n Halos boxes for a ‘magnificent 7’ weeks and donate whatever you’ve saved to the campaign.

Radio Clyde’s Cash for Kids will be the principal beneficiary with 50% of all funds raised being presented to them at Celtic Park on 22nd December.  The remainder will be distributed to a range of other worthy causes through the Celtic Charity Fund application process.

The campaign kicks off on Sunday 7th October and runs until Sunday 25th November  You then have until Friday 14th December to make your donation and you’ll be entered into a prize draw to win a signed shirt.

The individual or group raising the highest amount of money will be invited to make the presentation to Cash for Kids at half time during the Hibs game on 22nd December.

So, pick up your Hoops ‘n Halos box now from any Celtic retail store or order one from Jane Maguire on 0141 551 4262 or janemaguire@celticfc.co.uk

Thanks again for your very generous support.

HAIL THE CHAMPIONS HAWICK SHAMROCK CSC

MORE than £350 was raised for Cancer Research Scotland as 16 teams battled it out at Albert Park last month for custody of the Jim Williamson / Dave Walker Memorial Six-a-side Shield.

The squad from Hawick Shamrock Celtic Supporters' Club emerged as winners with a closely-fought 2-1 win over the Station Bar in the final.

Tam Smith's tireless organisation provided a wonderful day out for all at the well-supported event,

while ensuring the memories of Jim and Dave were appropriately upheld.

SUPPORTERS PRAISED ONCE AGAIN FOR GOOD CONDUCT

CELTIC supporters have again been praised for their behaviour following our victory over Aberdeen.

Gordon Strachan’s side came back from a goal down to win 3-1 at Pittodrie and the large travelling support played their part.

Speaking after the game, Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell said: “Once again our supporters were a great credit to themselves and the club.

“We are delighted with the manner in which they backed the team and helped drive them on to victory.

“As ever our supporters have travelled to a game in large numbers, many from a long distance away, and the club would like to thank them for their efforts.

“It’s been a great week for the club, with victories at Falkirk and Aberdeen and a tremendous performance and result in Russia against Spartak Moscow,

and our fans should be proud of the part they have played.”

New guidelines about unacceptable conduct at football stadia in Scotland have recently been introduced.

And the SPL match observer at Pittodrie also reported that the authorities were entirely satisfied with the behaviour and conduct of the Celtic supporters.
